Video timestamp links not working

Hi!

First of all I’d like to say that I’m so glad I found this awesome site you have built. I’ll surely subscribe.

I noticed I can’t navigate to different parts of the videos, although I guess that the intention is that they work like on YouTube.

Hey, can you show me where this is happening? Maybe with a screenshot? Timestamp links should work by clicking on them so I’d have to investigate.

Oh, by the way, there is a known timeline issue specifically if you use the Bunny Stream player and Safari browser with “Advanced tracking and fingerprinting protection” enabled.

What you can try is go to your settings in the user dashboard and select the fully stacked player or the classic Vimeo player and see if the timelinks start working.

Let me know!

Thanks Robert!

With the Fully stacked player the navigation links work.

There must be something wrong with the Bunny player. I was using Chrome on iPhone, or Safari on Macbook.
Navigation links don’t work there with Bunny player.

I am a software developer, so if you want me to test something let me know. I will be glad to help.

Anyway, it’s a minor issue. Thanks again!

Can you check what happens in safari MacBook if you turn “advanced tracking and fingerprinting protection” either off or set it to “private browsing only” (and then don’t browse in private mode).

For me on my MacBook that is what is causing the issue on safari. The fingerprinting protection thing.

Let me know!

You know, I switched back to Bunny player and now the navigation links work! (both on Macbook and on iPhone Chrome!)

:man_shrugging:

Thanks for your help!

I mean, navigation links started to work (both on Macbook and iPhone Chrome) after switching to Fully Stacked player.
But then switching back to Bunny player they still work.
I didn’t change any settings in my OSX system.
Anyway, it’s something related to the website itself, because I saw the same issue and result in Macbook and iPhone.

But don’t worry if it only happened to me

I have been trying to fix the bug yesterday (after giving up last time I tried a couple years back). I figured I could ask Gemini 3.0 if it could figure it out. So maybe one of the fixes I tried actually was an improvement… I do know it did not fix the original problem I already was aware of. So I reverted it all back to what it was.

If you notice the Bunny player stops working again let me know and I will see if I can reimplement one of the fixes. If it solves “a” problem even though it’s not the main one that would be nice as well.
