New Video Player Testrun

Hey Everyone,

I spent some time on making the QFG video workflow better. The most noticeable change for students is that I (at least for now) switched the standard video player from Vimeo to the new Bunnystream player.

I myself found this player much faster and more reliable than Vimeo, but ofcourse I would have to wait and see how things go for my students around the world. With Bunnystream I’m paying for the best Geo-replication they offer, so I’m very much hoping that students around the world will be happier with this.

If you enabled the “Fully stacked” player in the past, you will not notice any change. The standard Vimeo player will be automatically changed to Bunnystream.

If you want to switch back to Vimeo, you can do so through your user dashboard by enabeling the “Vimeo Classic” player. I would appreciate it a lot if you let me know why you switched back.

Alright, I hope your website experience got a little better as of today.

Cheers,
Robert

I encountered one issue with the Safari browser and “Advanced tracking and fingerprinting protection”. That seems to block the lesson timelinks from working. If you click them, nothing happens.

With “regular” privacy protection all is fine in Safari.

It seems to be an issue with the control script served by the people from Bunny stream. I hope they’ll find a fix because I don’t think I can actually patch this myself. :expressionless:

Nice, hopefully only a couple of more months until I get my pad controller and hit up your videos

I feel for you man… shit should not take this long!
