I think I subsribed to quest for groove for 3-4 times after I started to learn finger drumming 2 years ago. I’m finally able to record decent sounding drum loops on my rc-505.
Yes! Nice, chill vibes and tasty snare rolls there. The finger roll works well. I’m using it more and more next to the normal double tap.
Thanks! I’m never able to do the normal double tap, even this one took many months to be able to do it on a decent level :D.
After I bought my MPD-218 (unluckily a very bad one regarding pad sensitivity), I followed your courses and it was a fun few months to be able to play some basic stuff. But after some time I really needed the pad sensitivity otherwise it was impossible to play ghost notes or tasty snare rolls. So I upgraded to Maschine Mikro MK3 following your advice, took a few more months of your courses and finally I’m able to create finger drum patterns to use in with my looper.
Thanks for the great content and I recommend your courses to everyone who has an interest in finger drumming, it’s been great learning from you!
I took his advice on the Maschine Mikro Mk3 also, and I’m glad I did. The pad size and sensitivity are great. I also have pads on keyboards by Alesis, Novation, and Arturia. I rarely use them. But they could be excellent for the right person, it just isn’t me.
