And i have a question. Where is the sounds like sidesticks, open hh, foot close hh, sweep snare. What do i realy purchase? Hope someone have the answer
With addictive drums kits you always get multiple articulations per kit piece. So every snare has a sidestick, rimshot and more sounds. The brushes kit has some special extra articulations like sweeping.
Same goes for the ride and hight. There’s always a ‘Bell’ hit, an edge hit, and shaft hit. Tom’s have normal hits and rim hits as well.
I think AD shows you on the website what kit pieces you get but maybe not all the variations within that kit piece.
Actually AD Jazz Brushes has nearly the most Snare articulations of any brushes kit I found:
I have Superior Drummer 3 and SDX Roots Brushes (and EZ Drummer 2 and EZX Jazz which is a small version of SDX Roots Brushes) and AD Jazz Brushes has way more swish articultaions.
Native Instruments Abbey Road Drummers sound amazing but are mainly sticks and the 50s and the Vintage kit have a few additional brush articulations added, but very few.
I just bought VSL Jazz Drums, which have even more articulations, but haven’t found time to play it yet.
I hear great thing about Soniccouture Moonkits but haven’t tried it yet.
Straight Ahead Jazz Drums Brushes seems to be only brushed loops.
