I just came across this video https://youtu.be/iAiNwCSect0
The Pioneer DJS-1000 looks like an interesting device. I hadn’t come across it before.
I particularly like the way Spinscott is able to quickly change pad scenes on the Pioneer.
Has anyone tried this device? If so what did you think of it?

No, but I never saw somebody play jungle like this. Pretty sick.

I was just here to post about exactly the same thing
It’s in the +£1000 range, and works as a standalone device with samples you load on via USB, so similar to the Akai MPC Live that QFG has recommended.
Being a DJ as well as a recent finger drummer, I’m quite a fan of Pioneer gear. It’s industry standard and it’s built to last. But I wonder how the pads compare to other devices?..
Spinscott certainly seems to like it, and uses it in a few of his videos.
I notice that Pioneer do a similar device, a little cheaper (around £850) that can use the same project files: https://www.pioneerdj.com/en-us/product/production/toraiz-sp-16/black/overview/
