Any Alternative for Akai MPC Live?

Hey guys,

I’m very interested in trying out Akai MPC Live, but it seems discontinued. It’s out of stock everywhere. Is there any other standalone 16-pad controller out there? Basically what I want is:

  • 16 pads with 4x4 layout
  • fully standalone with battery (so MPC One is not)
  • price close to Akai MPC Live (even better if it’s lower)

I’m currently using a Maschine Mikro MK3 but starting to feel a bit clunky. My place has very limited space so I need to move my equipment including my laptop and cable very often. It would be nice if I can do finger drumming with only a pad controller on my lap, so that the setup is extremely easy.

Thanks in advance!

There’s not an exact copy available of the MPC live im afraid. The standalone capability with battery is pretty unique for as far as I know! :frowning:

If the Live is discontinued everywhere it could be that there’s a new version coming out… I mean, I have no idea but that seems to be a possibility…

Although the mpc one doesn’t come with a battery, there are several battery packs one could purchase to plug it into. https://www.amazon.com/65Watts-Portable-Charger-Battery-Notebooks/dp/B07P87JTVT/

I own the Mpc One, I liked the shape more than the live and there are several additional buttons the live didn’t have. They may release a Mark 2 of the live soon, could be why it’s unavailable.
