anyone using this for drum beat programming?
I had the Launchkey mini and those pads were pretty good. Just rotate the device 90 degrees so you have two vertical lines and you can do some pretty good drumming on it.
The FL key I have not tested personally, but it seems to be quite similar from the looks of it.

Any thoughts on pad layout for those bigger 2 x 8 devices? I have the 61 key version of the launchkey so it’s not really possible to rotate 90 degrees.
I came up with something like the picture below. I think it’s close enough to the QFG layout but maybe I’m missing something and it’s completely inappropriate for the style you teach… let me know what you think.
