# Are the pads on the Korg microKONTROL the same as on the Korg padKONTROL?

I’m in the market for a MIDI keyboard and found the
[microKONTROL](https://dt7v1i9vyp3mf.cloudfront.net/styles/news_large/s3/imagelibrary/k/korgimicro1-QLmoaExgvFO6HaMdV9BKognzmItD12AE.jpg) which appears to have both a MIDI keyboard and 16 pads. I’ve used the padKONTROL and liked it a lot. It’s not perfect, I wish the velocity was more sensitive, but it’s more sensitive than either the M-Audio Trigger Finger or the Maschine MK1 which I also tried. So if the microKONTROL pads are the same quality, I would probably get it.
Anyone have experience with it?

I have never played one so I couldn’t tell you. What I do know is that there’s already a difference between twe white and the black pad kontrol so the chance that these devices will have the exact same pads is pretty small.
I hope someone here can help you out and if you get your hands on one please let me (us) know how the pads are!
